Blog Submission Guidelines

  • The submission must be an MS-Word document. It must be mailed to constilawsociety.glc@gmail.com.

  • The length of the submission can range from 2000 to 2500 words. The flexibility of the upper limit depends on the quality of the submission. Multi-part submissions are welcome.

  • All kinds of submissions must contain a reasonable amount of opinion and analysis. Wholly descriptive submissions will be rejected.

  • Submissions are invited in the following formats.

    a. Articles: These can be general analytical pieces on issues of contemporary constitutional relevance.

    b. Case Comments: These must contain analysis of Court judgements and their impact on the development of Constitutional Law. Comments on cases from foreign jurisdictions are welcome. Any association with the subject case(s) must be declared.

    c. Legislation Reviews: These must contain analysis of legislation or executive actions (from India or elsewhere) through the lens of Constitutional Law.

    d. Book Reviews: Reviews of recently published books are welcome. Any association with the author must be declared.

  • All sources must be hyperlinked in the body of the text. Where online sources are not freely available, endnotes must be used.

  • The submission should be an original work of the author. Plagiarised submissions will be rejected. Use of Artificial Intelligence is strictly prohibited and will be detected.

  • Co-authorship of up to 2 authors is allowed.

  • The text must be in Times New Roman, size 12, with vertical spacing of 1.5 units.

  • The email and not the body of the submission, must contain the name and vocation of the author(s).

  • The authors shall receive an acknowledgement email upon the receipt of the submission, within 24 hours. Communication of acceptance/rejection or change shall be made, as far as it shall be possible, within 14 days.

  • The Editorial process will be two tiered. The first tier will be the student editorial body of the Constitutional Law Society, GLC and the second tier will consist of respectable legal professionals.

  • Authors must be ready to incorporate changes to their work as required by the editorial board.
